Today we're recapping DAY 1 of Celebration Japan 2025!

Star Wars Celebration Japan featured several key reveals, headlined by the announcement of Shawn Levy's new film, Star Wars: Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, which begins production this fall for a Memorial Day 2027 release. 1  Attendees also got a first look at The Mandalorian and Grogu, set for a May 2026 theatrical debut. 2  Lucasfilm Animation announced Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord, with Sam Witwer returning. 3  Further announcements included new publishing initiatives (manga, novels, High Republic conclusion), Hasbro figure reveals like Dash Rendar, a LEGO K-2SO set, upcoming game content including a Star Wars Outlaws story pack and a Monopoly GO! collaboration, a new season of Young Jedi Adventures, a trailer for the Star Wars: Beyond Victory mixed reality playset, and the availability of Light & Magic Season 2 on Disney+.
