The Bad Batch has premiered! Of course we look forward to the After-Show down the road with aftershow-host Diego (featured from our 40 part clone wars talk series). Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) by Genndy Tartakovsky, bridged the gap between Episode II and Episode III. It was prominently known as the only animated bridge between films at the time until we had the debut of Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008 which is known today as a 7 season show on Disney plus (almost 8 before cancellation in 2013). 2003's Clone Wars (also known as the micro-series) has been remembered fondly by many star wars fans around the globe and has also been greatly respected as a work of 2D art in the animation community. Today, we break down what that show provided for us as fans and how it bridged the gap at the time of release / telling stories of the clone wars before Revenge of the Sith was on screens. How does it compare to the cinematic style 3D animated show Star Wars: The Clone Wars which introduced the likes of Ahsoka and Rex into the canon in 2008 onwards. Let's get into it.

In 2015 we had an idea to create a Star Wars podcast that felt both fun, informative and different than the existing podcasts available to audiences in the Star Wars fandom. In 2019 that idea was made a reality with the launch of our first Intro (since updated) and the debut of the logo.
What's our Escape Pod theme about?
Our logo and podcast title is based on the first shot ILM ever completed in 1976 on "Star Wars". The escape pod launching from the Tantive IV. It remains an iconic shot to this day. In late 2022 we vectorized and modernized our logo that was once essentially a screenshot (with some photoshop applied) and turned it into a recognizable essence of the original but something we can call our own.
