Celebration Day 1 blew us all away with trailers for Andor, Willow, and teases for a new coming of age show called "Skeleton Crew", in which Jude Law will star with a group of 10ish year old kids after the events of Return of the Jedi. Ewan and Hayden made a very prominent appearance on the eve of Obi-Wan Kenobi's debut. A variety of speakers were in the spotlight today, and a panel featuring Ian Mcdiarmid and another panel featured the authors and creators of the High Republic which had them speak and reveal all the content from Phase 2 of the high republic initiative.And last but not least, Orbitkey has sent us a surprise package in the Escape Pod! About
In 2015 we had an idea to create a Star Wars podcast that felt both fun, informative and different than the existing podcasts available to audiences in the Star Wars fandom. In 2019 that idea was made a reality with the launch of our first Intro (since updated) and the debut of the logo.
What's our Escape Pod theme about?
Our logo and podcast title is based on the first shot ILM ever completed in 1976 on "Star Wars". The escape pod launching from the Tantive IV. It remains an iconic shot to this day. In late 2022 we vectorized and modernized our logo that was once essentially a screenshot (with some photoshop applied) and turned it into a recognizable essence of the original but something we can call our own.
