A new year, a new sound! The first episode done in our in person home-studio here, we're kicking things off post trivia episode with a relaunch of our show in the form of a look back and a look ahead at what we as a podcast have in store, as well as what's in store for fans down the road with new Disney plus shows among other things. The premiere episode of the book of boba fett has dropped on Disney plus and we're diving right in to chat about the resurrection of the fan favorite character, the long awaited scenes of Boba crawling out of the sarlacc and now his rise to power as the new crime lord in the galaxy. The High Republic has a very story centric game coming to consoles and PC in the future. About
In 2015 we had an idea to create a Star Wars podcast that felt both fun, informative and different than the existing podcasts available to audiences in the Star Wars fandom. In 2019 that idea was made a reality with the launch of our first Intro (since updated) and the debut of the logo.
What's our Escape Pod theme about?
Our logo and podcast title is based on the first shot ILM ever completed in 1976 on "Star Wars". The escape pod launching from the Tantive IV. It remains an iconic shot to this day. In late 2022 we vectorized and modernized our logo that was once essentially a screenshot (with some photoshop applied) and turned it into a recognizable essence of the original but something we can call our own.
