"My name is Quinlan Vos, and I am a Jedi"
Quinlan Vos was introduced in Star Wars (1998) #17 and had a first on screen cameo in The Phantom Menace which came out later the next year. He's a character that's stolen our hearts as fans in the Expanded Universe and in Canon with both of his stories focusing in on his dip into darkness and his redemption back to the Jedi all before the Jedi Purge. Our last RIP Star Wars was a tribute to honor the fallen in the Star Wars video games category. This week we honor the fallen shows and films we never got. As fans it's always a heart breaking subject to even mention the fact that George Lucas's sequel trilogy was tossed aside in favor of the films we got from Disney, but more than those three were victims. Did you know there was a live action TV Show in the works by Lucas himself in 2007? Or the cancelled EWOKS III TV Movie? Ever hear of the Boba Fett film by Josh Trank or that trilogy that was supposed to be done by the Game of Thrones guys? Rangers of the New Republic?! This sub series called RIP Star Wars is dedicated to all the star wars we never got! There's been so many cancelled projects over the years you could fill the Imperial databanks on Scarif with them! Today we go down the list and talk about each item we found to be cancelled, pulled or unreleased. And of course an honorable mention to the current and upcoming games that are going to be very relevant soon. A KOTOR Remake is in the works for next gen graphics on PS5 and possibly PC! A legacy star wars game and well respected in the RPG community. About
In 2015 we had an idea to create a Star Wars podcast that felt both fun, informative and different than the existing podcasts available to audiences in the Star Wars fandom. In 2019 that idea was made a reality with the launch of our first Intro (since updated) and the debut of the logo.
What's our Escape Pod theme about?
Our logo and podcast title is based on the first shot ILM ever completed in 1976 on "Star Wars". The escape pod launching from the Tantive IV. It remains an iconic shot to this day. In late 2022 we vectorized and modernized our logo that was once essentially a screenshot (with some photoshop applied) and turned it into a recognizable essence of the original but something we can call our own.
