It's been a while since we last heard from Ahsoka, where did she go when she left the order and what has she been doing? More importantly, what has she learned? When she walked away from the Jedi she made a bold choice, and it represented her opinion of the Jedi and how she'd been hurt, she didn't let her feelings cloud her judgment she 'had to figure things out on her own' as she put it to Anakin. But this choice has put her in new territory, growing up in the temple she knows no other life. What would an ex-Jedi such as Ahsoka do given a life of free will?

The next episodes that we chat about on our Clone Wars Talk series are included in the Dark Horse / Marvel Comics trade paper back "Star Wars: Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir". This comic book adapted the next arc of four episodes which belonged to either season 6/7 from Star Wars The Clone Wars. Thanks to this story arc, a large gap is filled, the last time we saw Maul he was being tortured by Palpatine on Mandalore. What happened to him? Let's find out before watching the final season of The Clone Wars. We also honor the un-produced episodes today that were never adapted into another format. The Clone Wars Legacy project adapted 8 episode scripts into a brilliant novel called Dark Disciple and this SUPER episode is an insane in depth walk through and talk about that book designed for anyone who hasn't read the novel particularly. If you have read the novel then it might not be anything new to you but I'm going to do my best to entertain all regardless with this one. When season 6 was cancelled half way through, some great people at Lucasfilm got together and decided on a few ways to give us those next few episodes regardless. This last project to continue the show was called The Clone Wars Legacy, (and yes it's still canon and not to be confused with the "legends" banner). Three arcs were adapted into material we could still consume, the first of these three arcs; referred to as the "Crystal Crisis on Utapau" arc was released as raw unfinished proxy animation. Prior to final animation every episode looked like these. All the audio is there, and some of the music. But in reality, the story gets across despite the rough looking product. These episodes have recently been hard to find, they were... and currently they are no longer on starwars.com to view. But they can be found via YouTube and the Season 6 "lost missions" Clone Wars blu ray bonus features. With some digging you will find them, so happy hunting and then you can listen to us chat about them right here on the show, as well as The Clone Wars Legacy project.Episodes are listed below:

The Lost Ones refers of course to Sifo-Dias and Silman - Valorum's Aid. It costs a lot of money to make a war a successful effort and both the Republic and the CIS are faced with debts and impending loans. An old friend who was once left for dead has made his return to financial power, Rush Clovis. But this story arc isn't just about banking and politics. This arc heavlily focuses in on the relationship between PADME and ANAKIN, and the third wheel CLOVIS who's come back to also sweep Padme out from under her feet. In Revenge of the Sith we see Skywalker driven to the dark side based on his strong attachments to Padme and his terrible vision of her death. What more has driven him to take that path? What kind of greed and possession has taken hold of our hero at this point in the story? AWESOME breakdown starts to happen midway through this episode and we really hone in on ANAKIN SKYWALKER as a character. Because this is the skywalker saga. About
In 2015 we had an idea to create a Star Wars podcast that felt both fun, informative and different than the existing podcasts available to audiences in the Star Wars fandom. In 2019 that idea was made a reality with the launch of our first Intro (since updated) and the debut of the logo.
What's our Escape Pod theme about?
Our logo and podcast title is based on the first shot ILM ever completed in 1976 on "Star Wars". The escape pod launching from the Tantive IV. It remains an iconic shot to this day. In late 2022 we vectorized and modernized our logo that was once essentially a screenshot (with some photoshop applied) and turned it into a recognizable essence of the original but something we can call our own.
